Private Insurance:  Many individual medical insurance policies include home health services.  Many individual private insurance policies include home care benefits. These benefits will be verified by A Touch of Care and will be obtained when applicable.

Private Pay: Services for client care may be funded by private compensation.  The rates for care are determined by the specific needs of the individual clients.  Preliminary phone assessments are made prior to setting the appointment visit for the RN onsite assessment.

Personal Care Service (PCS):  State Medicaid funding granted to qualifying low income clients.  The client must have a Blue Medicaid Card and meet the States requirements in order to qualify for the service.  Home Care services are ordered by the physician, and up to 60 hours per month will be paid by Medicaid funds. To apply for Medicaid, the client or family must go to the Department of Social Services office in the county the client resides.

Community Alternative Program (CAP):   After the client has the above Medicaid Blue card, they are now eligible to apply for the CAP program funds.  Benefits may include additional home care service hours, assistance with medical equipment and supplies, as well as gaining Respite hours.  Respite hours can be used when the usual family caregiver must be absent from the home, as with a vacation, trip, or funeral may call the primary family caregiver away.  To apply, call the Senior Services in the county of the client's residence.
